Based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana And once we've actually talked through what you want on your site, decided what you want it to be and do, and pinned down just how complex you want it to be, we can set a fixed pre-negotiated price for your new site and ongoing maintenance, etc. if needed. These are some general ideas of what it might cost for various websites. A single page website (With up to three sub-pages), which requires little or no ongoing maintenance (A static, general information site, for instance), would generally run about $500 or so. This is an all-inclusive, one time fee which includes the design, construction, all fees, website hosting, as well the research and purchase of the domain name itself for the first year. Domain name cost and hosting will generally run around $10 a month after the first year. A multi-page (five or ten pages) site which requires some ongoing updating, but doesn't require more than a few graphic, pictures, etc., and no video or advanced web components, might run around $750, plus anywhere from $50 to $100 a month for ongoing updates and changes. Again, This includes the design, construction, all fees, website hosting, as well the research and purchase of the domain name itself. A complex, many-paged website that requires frequent updates and changes, including features such as videos, audio, pictures, can run as much as $3,000 or more, plus an hourly or monthly charge for ongoing updates, etc. Generally speaking, hourly rates for all work done outside one of the negotiated packages mentioned above, i.e. updating, changes, and expansion of sites, are billed at $75.00 an hour. This can be lowered somewhat, of course, by a monthly agreement with a minimum number of billable hours. Simple, text-only changes and updates can generally be done by most people who are relatively comfortable working in Word, etc. However anything beyond this kind of update, requires experience in actual website management--and in many cases, actual html experience--to be effective. It also requires specialized website software such as Front Page or Dreamweaver. We actually use about a dozen different programs in doing our sites. We also do site management training at an hourly rate of $125-$150. We'd be happy to talk about
designing, building
and managing your site. |
